Welcome to Season 1 Episode 5 of \u201c99 Food and Drink Prices.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This series is designed to show you what the prices of food and drink items are in countries all around the world so that you can get a pretty good idea of what the cost of living in each country that I feature is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As much as possible, I will try to list the same or similar items from episode to episode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This episode is dedicated to Switzerland. The currency of Switzerland is the Swiss Franc, abbreviated CHF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of the pictures below were taken at either Coop or Migros. I decided to use Coop and Migros as my sources because they are two of the biggest and most popular supermarket chains in the country. You can, however, often find most of the items pictured here cheaper at other shops\/supermarkets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: ALL PRICES ARE IN (the equivalent of) USD<\/strong> for easy comparison to other episodes of \u201c99.\u201d The exchange rate I used was 0.88 CHF to 1 USD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
